Comparative analysis of lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels and aerated concrete blocks
In recent years, with the strength of China's national strength and the need for large-scale urban construction, batches of high-rise buildings and high-rise buildings have emerged. For these buildings, traditional brick walls are clearly not suitable, while concrete walls are becoming increasingly inferior due to their bulkiness. Therefore, lightweight partition walls are rapidly developing in China's architecture, and various materials of lightweight partition walls are also constantly developing. This article compares and analyzes lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels with aerated concrete blocks, and elaborates on the advantages of lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels.
Lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete partition boards are mainly used for indoor partitions and non load-bearing exterior walls. Using lightweight and high-strength clay sand with air, cement, sand, air entraining agent, and water to prepare lightweight concrete, and placing a cold-drawn steel wire mesh frame inside the board for pouring and core pulling.
The performance comparison analysis of sand aerated lightweight concrete hollow strip board and aerated block is as follows:
1、 Comparative analysis of specifications and standards
1. Sand aerated lightweight concrete hollow batten, with width of 600mm and thickness of 90, 100, 120 and 150mm respectively, each batten (reinforced with steel mesh inside) can reach 2.4-3.2m in length.
2. Aerated blocks are blocks with a width of 600mm, a thickness of 200mm, and a length of 300mm; There is no steel reinforcement inside.
2、 Performance Comparison Analysis
1. Bulk density
(1) Sand aerated lightweight concrete hollow slab with a unit weight of 90-110kg/m2 and a thickness of 100mm.
(2) Aerated block, 200mm thick, with a unit weight of 168 kg/m2 (including batch shaking).
2. Thermal conductivity and fire resistance
(1) The thermal conductivity of the sand aerated strip board is 0.38w/m.k; Thermal resistance: 0.261; Heat storage coefficient: 4.84; The insulation performance of 100mm thick sand aerated strip board is equivalent to that of 200mm thick aerated block wall; Due to the fact that this material is a large board, its performance is evenly distributed and the overall insulation effect is good. The fire resistance of the sand aerated strip board is greater than 3 hours.
(2) Due to the need for masonry mortar treatment between blocks during use, the performance of aerated blocks is greatly reduced, and the thermal insulation effect of block masonry distribution is greatly affected.
3. Sound insulation
(1) The sound insulation index of 100mm sand aerated strip board is ≥ 45db. Due to the large panel area of this material in use, its performance is evenly distributed, and the overall sound insulation effect is good. It can meet the sound insulation requirements of the five-star hotel, and no sound can be heard on both sides of the partition wall.
(2) The sound insulation index of the 200mm wall with aerated blocks is 36db. Due to the need for masonry mortar treatment between blocks during use, there are many gaps on the wall, which reduces the sound insulation performance. Clear sounds can be heard on both sides of the partition wall.
4. Load-bearing performance
(1) The sand aerated strip board is equipped with built-in steel mesh, greatly enhancing its bearing capacity and strength; The hanging force is ≥ 1500N, and the compressive strength reaches about 10Mpa.
(2) There is no steel mesh inside the aerated block, with a strength of only 1.5-3Mpa, and the bearing capacity and strength are much smaller than those of the sand aerated strip board.
5. Impact resistance performance
(1) The sand aerated strip board has been continuously impacted 12 times without cracks on the surface of the board. Whether it is a frame structure or a steel structure, it belongs to the structural form of a large board installed as a wall, and can withstand the impact of large loads.
(2) Aerated blocks are materials that require masonry and structural reinforcement as walls and cannot withstand the impact of large loads.
6. Waterproof and moisture-proof
(1) The sand aerated strip board does not absorb water and does not regain moisture.
(2) Aerated blocks are prone to water absorption, moisture regain, and mold formation.
3、 Design Comparison
1. The sand aerated strip board is generally used on the inner partition wall with a thickness of 100mm, which can meet the requirements of sound insulation, fire prevention, insulation, and can also increase the usage area by about 4.5%; The use of sand aerated slats as wall panels reduces the amount of foundation, beams, columns, and steel bars used due to their light weight;
2. The use of aerated blocks as internal partitions is generally designed to be 200mm thick, and the thinnest ones need to be treated before use. Moreover, their sound insulation performance is poor, and their stability is not good. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the auxiliary structure; The conventional design of using aerated blocks as internal partitions is 200mm thick, and the occupied area is twice that of using sand aerated slats; And each square meter of wall is 58-78Kg heavier than sand aerated slats;
4、 Comparison of construction techniques
1. Structural comparison
(1) Sand aerated panels are used as wall panels without the need for structural columns, reinforcement strips or ring beams, and doors and windows do not require lintels. They can be used independently without the need for any auxiliary structures.
(2) Aerated blocks are used as walls. According to architectural design regulations, if the length exceeds 6 meters, structural columns need to be added to increase its stability. If the height exceeds 4 meters, concrete ring beams need to be added; Laying two layers of aerated blocks requires reinforcement and tension to increase stability.
2. Connection comparison
(1) The sand aerated strip board does not require masonry mortar, as long as it is squeezed with non shrinkage mortar at the contact with the board, column or beam, and the amount used is very small.
(2) Aerated blocks require a large amount of masonry mortar and are connected to structural columns, ring beams, and reinforcement strips to form walls.
3. Comparison of construction quality
(1) Using sand aerated strip boards as internal partition boards will prevent hollowing and cracking on the walls.
(2) When using aerated blocks as walls, there will definitely be hollowing and cracks on the surface of the wall, which is a well-known material problem and the cost of later maintenance is high.
5、 Decoration comparison
1. After the installation of the sand aerated strip board, the wall surface has a high flatness and does not require double-sided plastering. The decoration interface process is simplified (direct plastering, brushing gypsum, and spraying paint are sufficient); According to the comparison of relevant projects, using sand aerated panels can reduce decoration costs by no less than 15% compared to using aerated blocks.
2. After the completion of aerated block masonry, it is necessary to carry out double-sided plastering and lay anti crack steel mesh treatment before scraping putty and spraying paint; The flatness and verticality of masonry walls are relatively poor.
6、 Comparison of construction progress
1. Comparison of installation progress of sections
1.1 The sand aerated strip board is a finished product that can be directly assembled and spliced on site when it arrives at the construction site, and each piece can reach an area of 2 square meters, so the installation speed is very fast.
1.2 Aerated block is a standard universal material that requires the preparation of masonry mortar. Therefore, compared with sand aerated strip board, its installation speed is more than twice slower than sand aerated strip board.
2. Comparison of auxiliary structure progress
2.1 The sand aerated strip board does not require the assistance of structural columns, ring beams, or reinforcement strips, thus shortening the construction period.
2.2 The construction speed of aerated blocks is limited due to the need for construction and ring beam assistance installation; And increase costs.
3. Comparison of decoration progress
3.1 The sand aerated strip board does not require double-sided plastering and belongs to dry construction, so the construction speed is greatly improved.
3.2 The aerated block requires double-sided plastering and wet construction, so the construction speed is greatly affected.
Through the above comparative analysis, it can be seen that the advantages of lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels include:
1、 Practicality
Due to the smooth surface of the wall, its verticality and flatness are high, making it easy to cooperate with subsequent building decoration construction; In addition, due to the fact that the lightweight wall panel itself is a porous wall, and the holes can be used for wiring, the wall can be arbitrarily slotted and drilled for easy piping and wiring.
2、 Economy
1. Refundable Wall Reform Fund
At present, China is vigorously promoting new wall materials. For construction projects that do not use new wall materials, the government charges a wall reform fund of 10 yuan per square meter of the construction area. As long as they are used, they can apply for a refund of the wall reform fund.
2. Increase the usable area of the building
For example, if a 100mm thick wall panel is used, it only has a 200mm block wall thickness of 1/2, and every 10m long wall adds 1 m2 of usable space. If a project uses 10000 square meters of wall panels, its usable area has increased by 370 square meters, especially as a commercial housing, which is a major attraction for homeowners.
3. Reduce cost
If lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels are considered in the design, the main structural steel bars and cement can be used much less, and the overall cost of the project can also be greatly reduced.
4. Reduce construction waste
The use of lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels is a lightweight concrete prefabricated component with good verticality and flatness. The dry construction method reduces construction waste and reduces engineering costs.
5. Water and electricity installation
After the installation of the lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panel, due to the porous structure in the vertical direction of the panel itself, in the water and electricity installation process, workers only need to open holes in the electrical box position, and wires and pipes can pass through the holes inside the wall panel, avoiding the tedious processes of water and electricity installation, such as excavation and backfilling, greatly accelerating the water and electricity construction speed and reducing manual labor intensity.
6. Shorten the construction period
The use of lightweight sand aerated reinforced concrete wall panels is a lightweight aggregate concrete product, equipped with a cold-drawn steel mesh frame, which has light weight, high strength, good verticality and flatness. After the installation of the wall panels, there is no need to shake them. At the construction site, they can be cut, spliced, and drilled as required, without affecting the stability of the wall panel structure. At the same time, it is not limited by the height of the wall and belongs to the whole block assembly, with a construction speed of 2-3 times that of building brick walls.
